The issue of the possibility of self-improvement of the system of artificial intelligence, which gained autonomy, got out of human control and by downloading data from the Internet it is becoming an increasingly powerful and threatening system for humans since the 1990s in science fiction literature and film. With each subsequent year, the technology of artificial intelligence is developed and improved. So, can the scenario presented above come true in the future? What do you think about this? Please reply.

Read Stephen Hawking's answer to the question in his last book before he died. on the answers to the big questions. He had no doubt that the answer is yes. It will start with an Asperger type of knowledge, very well in a small area, but it will grow to something comparable if cognitive treats are programmed in.

I think it can be true in some day!

Dear Dariusz Prokopowicz
I agree with Leon Hoffman. In my view its needs some kind off separate update channel for improvement . Other kind of updating may be harm for us.Or the improvement always controlled by a human he must have some expertise. And also there may have many problem arises when someone hacks into these network. I amazed so that how can you comes with latest ideas. As a technology guy still i don't even think about it.

Of course. AI has the ability and capacity to draw knowledge from any source using human as the supervising agent.

The artificial knowledge, yes!
The real knowledge, no!
It's pretty logical to answer this question by yourself if you can answer honestly how many times you were able to fake/mask your actual state of mind in front of others.

Hello,
Today's AI can't do such approach, there is not a full artificial system to read, understand, and learn.
Thanks,

I would like to clear some of the assumptions of the question and the answers given:
1)There is an implied assumption that there is knowledge on the Internet. The Internet is the system of interconnected computers and more likely the question is referring to the web as a source of information
2) that there is a repository of information does not mean that there is information in the repository. Sometimes there is sometimes there is data and sometimes there is junk..
3) For there to be knowledge there must be the piece of information supported upon additional verificational data/information. The piece of information representing knowledge must follow from the other pieces of data
Given these parameters, it is possible given the current state of the art algorithms that can extract particular pieces of data and find support based on it(there are different methods for it. Under the definition of knowledge given above the answer is definitely yes.
Evolution does not necessarily imply improvement so a measure of improvement must be given before anyone can state positively that there is one.

Partially possible but 100% accurate leaning will not be possible.

Please define 100% accurate learning. Is it for the entire web as a source of information or is it for subset?. What is the criteria for 100% accurate learning in non separable spaces? How is the criteria going to evaluate conflicting contradictory? Contradictory data? False data?
Finally please provide:
How it is that AI is not going to achieve it?
How are humans going to achieve it?

Thank you very much for the answers to the question: Is artificial intelligence able to self-improve based on knowledge from the Internet? Thank you for the information provided and the link to interesting data in the above-mentioned issues. Thank you very much for participating in this discussion and for providing inspiring and informative responses. Thank you very much for the interesting information and inspiration to continue deliberations on the above issues. Thank you for the interesting information sent. In view of the above, in my opinion, in recent years the importance of the issues described in this discussion has grown. In my opinion, currently, to a limited extent, artificial intelligence able to self-improve based on knowledge from the Internet. However, in a few or several years, these possibilities will increase significantly.
What do you think about it?
Thank you very much and best regards, Have a nice day,

Will it be possible to build an artificial consciousness similar to human consciousness in digitized structures of artificial intelligence if in specific structures of artificial intelligence will digitally reproduce the artificial structures of neurons and the entire central nervous system of humans?
If artificial intelligence that mapped human neurons was built, then it would be a very advanced artificial intelligence. If artificial intelligence was built in such a way that all human neurons would be reconstructed in digital technology, it would mean the possibility of building cybernetic structures capable of collecting and processing data in a much larger database capacity than at present. However, if it would only be the reproduction of simple neural structures and their reproduction to the number of neurons contained in the human organism, then only or mainly quantitative and not necessarily qualitative factors that characterize the collection and processing of data in the human brain would be achieved. Without achieving all of the qualitative variables typical of the human nervous system in a cybernetic counterpart, it might be doubtful to create in this cybernetic structure an artificial nervous system of cybernetic consciousness which is the equivalent of human consciousness.
Do you agree with me on the above matter?

Artificial general intelligence aims to create agents capable of learning to solve arbitrary interesting problems. We define two versions of asymptotic optimality and prove that no agent can satisfy the strong version while in some cases, depending on discounting, there does exist a non-computable weak asymptotically optimal agent.
